Step 2 · Listening
Listen before reading
First listen for the situation and repeated words. Do not try to translate every sentence.

Modal adverbs for certainty and approximation
大概 / 必须 / 差不多 / 一定 / 好像 / 几乎 + predicateThese adverbs express approximation, necessity, near equality, confidence, appearance or near-completion.
根据 for a basis
根据 + information / rule，…Use 根据 to state the information, evidence or rule on which a decision is based.
Expanded phrase structures
apposition; V-complement; number-measure repetitionHSK 3 combines phrase structures such as apposition, more complex verb-complement phrases and repeated number-measure groups.
Verb or clause-like subjects
VP / adjective phrase / subject-predicate phrase + predicateAt HSK 3, an action, quality or full subject-predicate phrase can function as the topic or subject of a sentence.
Repeated-verb sentences
S + V + O + V + complementRepeat the verb after its object when a complement needs to describe the action itself.
Progression with 不但…而且
不但 + clause 1，而且 + clause 2Use this pair when the second point adds a stronger or additional point to the first.

- Give a measurable routine such as minutes, repetitions or days per week.
- Use at least six Lesson 11 words and explain how you will check whether the method works.
