Nǐ shì xīn xuésheng ma?

Are you a new student?

学校在这里，医院在那边。

Xuéxiào zài zhèlǐ, yīyuàn zài nàbiān.

The school is here, and the hospital is over there.

你住哪儿？我住那儿，离学校很近。

Nǐ zhù nǎr? Wǒ zhù nàr, lí xuéxiào hěn jìn.

Where do you live? I live there, close to the school.

商店在学校前边，你可以去那里找老师。

Shāngdiàn zài xuéxiào qiánbian, nǐ kěyǐ qù nàlǐ zhǎo lǎoshī.

The shop is in front of the school; you can go there to look for the teacher.

学校外有一个小饭店，在楼下。

Xuéxiào wài yǒu yí ge xiǎo fàndiàn, zài lóuxià.

Outside the school there is a small restaurant downstairs.

Nǐ shénme shíhou lái xuéxiào?

When are you coming to school?

从家到学校要二十分钟，不到一个小时。

Cóng jiā dào xuéxiào yào èrshí fēnzhōng, bú dào yí ge xiǎoshí.

It takes twenty minutes from home to school, less than an hour.

我是大学生，每天八点上学。

Wǒ shì dàxuéshēng, měitiān bā diǎn shàngxué.

I am a university student, and I go to school at eight every day.

她们都是小学的小学生。

Tāmen dōu shì xiǎoxué de xiǎoxuéshēng.

They are all primary-school students.

那些中学生在中学上课。

Nàxiē zhōngxuéshēng zài zhōngxué shàngkè.

Those middle-school students have class at the middle school.

我哥哥在公司工作，弟弟还是学生。

Wǒ gēge zài gōngsī gōngzuò, dìdi hái shì xuésheng.

My older brother works at a company, and my younger brother is still a student.
