How to use pinyin and English support
Read the Chinese text first and use pinyin only when pronunciation blocks comprehension. Keep English support off on the first attempt when possible. If an unknown word prevents understanding, open the HSK 1 vocabulary list after answering instead of translating the entire passage before you read it.
What your reading result means
Each answer is checked immediately. When both questions in a passage are answered, the passage score is saved automatically. Re-read passages with missed questions without English support first, then retry unresolved mistakes from Mistake Review.
Use the HSK 1 mock test when you want Reading combined with Listening under one timer.
