Zuótiān shì xīngqīrì, wǒ méiyǒu shàngkè.

Yesterday was Sunday, and I did not have class.

Wǒ de fángjiān lǐ yǒu yì zhāng zhuōzi, liǎng bǎ yǐzi, zhuōzi shàng yǒu yí ge bēizi.

My room has a table and two chairs, and there is a cup on the table.

我家有一只猫和一只狗，它们都很可爱。

Wǒ jiā yǒu yì zhī māo hé yì zhī gǒu, tāmen dōu hěn kě'ài.

My home has a cat and a dog; they are both very cute.

Nǐ zhù nǎr? Wǒ zhù nàr, lí xuéxiào hěn jìn.

Where do you live? I live there, close to the school.

Duìbuqǐ, wǒ yào dǎ diànhuà. Méi guānxi, nǐ xiān dǎ.

I get up at seven in the morning; I got up very early today.

Báitiān wǒ shàngbān, wǎnshang wǒ xiūxi.

I work during the day and rest in the evening.

Xiànzài wǒ zài tīng yīnyuè, zhè shǒu gē hěn hǎotīng.

I am listening to music now; this song sounds very nice.

周末我们去公园玩儿，那里很好玩儿。

On the weekend we go to the park; it is fun there.

These children are my friends; they play together in the afternoon.

Wǒ jiā yǒu sì kǒu rén: bàba, māma, jiějie hé wǒ. Zhèxiē dōu shì wǒ de jiārén.

There are four people in my family: Dad, Mom, my older sister and me. They are all my family members.

我哥哥在公司工作，弟弟还是学生。

Wǒ gēge zài gōngsī gōngzuò, dìdi hái shì xuésheng.

My older brother works at a company, and my younger brother is still a student.

我妹妹今天没有时间，她要上课。

Wǒ mèimei jīntiān méiyǒu shíjiān, tā yào shàngkè.

My younger sister has no time today; she has class.

我爱吃中国菜，也爱吃米饭。

Wǒ ài chī Zhōngguó cài, yě ài chī mǐfàn.

I love Chinese food, and I also love rice.

有些菜很辣，我只吃一些。

Yǒuxiē cài hěn là, wǒ zhǐ chī yìxiē.

Some dishes are spicy, so I only eat some of them.

这碗饭我吃一半，少一点儿就好。

Zhè wǎn fàn wǒ chī yíbàn, shǎo yìdiǎnr jiù hǎo.

I will eat half of this bowl of rice; a little less is fine.
